BRC was formed through the successful growth and development of its operating companies. Beginning principally as operators within the industrial sector, the businesses grew to a point where implementing a private equity approach made sense to accelerate success.
BRC acquires and partners with companies in North America that strategically fit within the highway and road safety infrastructure platform. BRC also seeks out opportunities for platform investments in other industrial-based businesses. Not solely focusing on a narrow range of investment criteria based only on historical financial performance, BRC looks for strategic benefits that a company could provide their platform. Likewise, BRC demonstrates to potential partners the value of leveraging the BRC platform and team.

INDUSTRY FOCUS
BRC’s legacy platform is based on companies that have some connection to highway and road safety infrastructure.
Although the legacy platform will always be a focus for BRC, they are also interested in investing in other industrial-based platforms. BRC will consider opportunities in technology, distribution, transportation, real estate, and many other sectors, however, some connection to the core platform would likely be necessary.
SIZE AND OWNERSHIP
BRC is flexible regarding size and profitability. BRC will pursue small businesses in their areas of interest, regardless of revenue size or the number of employees, right up to businesses with $100 million + of revenue.
With their deep sector expertise, BRC can also partner with other private equity firms on larger deals. BRC is comfortable taking majority or minority positions as well as 50/50 joint ventures, working with business owners to determine an optimal ownership structure for success.
GEOGRAPHY
BRC is focused on providing leading private market capital solutions for business owners to grow their enterprises, or to provide liquidity for owners seeking an exit as part of a succession plan. Currently, BRC’s geographic interests lie within North America.
TIME HORIZON
BRC does not operate under a fund model. Consequently, there are no preconceived holding periods.
BRC can facilitate succession planning for their operator partners by purchasing their equity or by planning a mutual exit to a third party. Being flexible and patient gives BRC a distinct advantage. As does being comfortable transacting where typical private equity firms may not.
For transactions where a principal position does not fit within the BRC portfolio, our team will selectively provide third party advisory services to company owners and prospective purchasers. With a background in mergers & acquisitions, the BRC team has the experience and industry relationships to facilitate your transactions. BRC will provide advice for buy or sell side transactions through market-based solutions, regardless of the complexity. Our road safety platform focuses on all areas of the highway and road safety business, from manufacturing and rental of barrier systems to the distribution and installation of guiderails, crash attenuators, and everything in between.
Noisewalls and Precast Concrete
Beginning with the vertical integration of a precast manufacturer, BRCs noisewall and precast group has grown into a significant market competitor and now offers a wide range of infrastructure solutions through the design, plan, and manufacturing stages.
Metal Fabrication
The metal fabrication group of businesses manufacture fabricated aluminum and steel systems for highway related products including overhead tri-cord signs, light poles, bridge rails, and more.
Construction
The BRC construction platform provides services to customers in the highway, railway, industrial and environmental industries. The companies specialize in foundation work, shoring, piling, fence construction, and more.
Service Group
The Barrier Ridge services group provides complimentary services to the other BRC platforms that include traffic and pedestrian control, and hydro excavation services.
